New Music Monday

By Billy The Kid / Beats / 15th May 2017

It was a great weekend for Hip-Hop fans, with more drops than a Cape Town hipster’s nose on a typical Sunday morning.

Big name collaborations from the likes of Diplo, Young Thug and Jbiebs (rapping finally); whilst Calvin Harris teamed up with Future & Khalid to really treat our earlobes, but our big winner goes to the local killers; Chad Da Don and Youngsta with their low riding heater – “F U”. Raw and powerful lyricism over a classic Hip-Hop beat, but you could have known that before you even pressed play. Chad kills it, but Youngsta lays out one of the better verses that we’ve heard from him in a while.

“Fuck You! I say this disrespectfully / definitely / I come from CPT what you expect from me / I looked up to Ready D and ouens who were legendary / now I toe-tag MC’s and send them to the cemetery / Destruction is the appetite disaster is the recipe / feel the intensity, because I don’t show no empathy / YGen’s the entity the components we combine are explosive like chemistry and blow like South-Westerly / The winds of change are coming from the Wes Kaap / PASOP vir die Rotweiller do not trespass”

– Youngsta

Chad – F U ft. Youngsta
Diplo – Bank Roll ft Young Thug, Rich the Kid and Justin Bieber

Calvin Harris – Rolling ft Khalid and Future
